Samsung Galaxy S IV with loaded new Smart scroll and Smart pause tech


In January 2013, Samsung trademarked Eye Scroll and Eye Pause. Finally Samsung released news about Eye Scroll and Eye Pause features which Galaxy S IV will have. This smart phone will have a front facing camera to track the eye gaze. It will start scrolling automatically when it detects that you’re looking at the screen.


Smart Screen features will include:
1. Smart Stay - Smart Stay disables screen timeout if device detects that your face is watching the screen
2. Smart Rotation - Screen orientation adjusts to your angle of sight
3. Smart Pause - The device pauses video when it detects your head moving away from the screen
4. Smart Scroll - The screen will start to scroll automatically if the device detects that you are looking at the screen

Smart Scroll features will include:

1. Speed - With this feature you can select the speed of scrolling in smart screen
2. Acceleration - You can select how fast scrolling accelerates in smart screen based on the angle of your face
3. Visual Feedback Display - You can enable to display visual feedback icon in smart scroll
You will be given few options to enable Smart Scroll in your apps like default browser, Chrome, body of Email/Gmail messages etc. 

The device will track your head and not only the eyes, that is it will scroll vertically while you’re looking at the screen and tilting your heard vertically will adjust the scroll speed. There are options for acceleration and visual feedback.


The new feature that will gain popularity would be Smart Pause which will be very useful. The device will pause video playback if you look away from the screen.


Galaxy S IV is set to release in New York on 14th March 2013.
