Micromax A89 (Ninja) - Rooting Guide

PRE-REQUISITES

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Download the file from the download link mentioned above and extract the contents to a folder in any location on your hard drive using WinRAR. [Password to extract - "gadgetathenadotcom" (without quotes)]
2. Enable USB Debugging on your phone under Developer Options. (Settings--> Developer Options --> USB Debugging) 
3. Connect your phone to your PC using the micro USB data cable.
4. Change the USB mode of  the phone to Media Device. This can be done by pulling down the notification bar and selecting " Connected as USB Storage" option. Change it to Media Device.
5. Now open the folder where you extracted the files in step 1.
6. Right Click on RunME.bat and select "Run as Administrator".
7. A command prompt will pop up. Type "1" (without quotes) and press Enter.
8. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE
9. Wake your phone by pressing the power key and unlock it.
10. Click on Restore on your Phone. Leave the Developer ID and password Blank.
11. Your Device will restart.
12. DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE EVEN NOW.
13. Files will be copied automatically and the device will power up again.
14. You will see the message "all is done! Have Fun!"
15. Remove the cable.
16. Congrats! You've successfully rooted your phone! A SuperSU app can be seen in your phone now. You can also check the Rooting status by downloading the "Root Checker" app from Play Store.
